Charlotte is a registered psychologist who enjoys working with children, adolescents and their families, with a particular interest in supporting young people to better understand themselves, navigate challenges and build confidence as they grow.
She has experience supporting young people with anxiety (including panic, generalised, social and separation anxiety), emotional regulation and big feelings, anger and frustration, low mood and withdrawal, school avoidance, self-esteem and confidence, sleep difficulties, grief and loss, identity and self-understanding, and significant life changes and transitions.
Drawing on her experience as a School Psychologist, Charlotte understands the influence that school, learning, family life and friendships can have on a young person’s wellbeing. She brings this broader perspective to her work and is passionate about early intervention and helping young people develop practical skills they can carry into everyday life.
Her approach is warm, collaborative and strengths-based, with support tailored to the age, interests and individual needs of each young person.
Charlotte draws from evidence-based approaches including Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), and Solution Focused Therapy (SFT). She often incorporates games, creative activities, movement and play-based strategies, recognising that therapy with children and teenagers does not always need to look like sitting across from one another and talking.
She also enjoys helping young people understand their neurodivergence through an affirming and strengths-based lens, supporting them to understand how their individual brain works, recognise their strengths and “superpowers”, and develop strategies for areas they may find more challenging.
Charlotte also has experience in psychological and educational assessment, helping young people and their families develop a clearer understanding of their learning profile, strengths and individual support needs.
